Introducing Tessa, Rosie and Charlie - a tribute to Reillys winery dogs past and present!
The demeanour of these Dachshunds inspired the name 'Barking Mad' in particular when the trucks pull into the winery laden with grapes ready to be crushed during vintage. By the end of a long, hot vintage, the winery team are all Barking Mad too!.

Barking Mad Sparkling Cuvee Blanc

Sourced from Riesling fruit from our St Clare Vineyard, this wine has been tank fermented to create a truly tantalising sparkling.
This bubbly has a light fresh bead with lime and citrus flower flavours with a hint of nectre.
The new innovative 'SPK' closure is re-sealable and keep ths wine fresh and bubbly for up to a week after opening (if it lasts that long!).

Barking Mad Sparkling Shiraz

Produced from the highest quality fruit, our Sparkling Mad Shiraz is perfect for celebrations or for enjoying anytime!
Sourced from Reillys Vineyard at Leasingham, our Sparkling Shiraz is open fermented for 10 days before maturing in American Oak hogsheads for 12 months.
Tank fermentation has resulted in a smooth wine with a fine bead and flavours of blackcurrant, blackberries and cherries with a hint of spice.

2011 Barking Mad Riesling
Introducing our latest Barking Mad pup - young, fresh and little bit cheeky, this label perfectly represents the wine!
Premium fruit has been picked from our St Clare Vineyard at Watervale where the elevation and soil is perfect for growing Riesling, giving the wine mineral characteristics.
Lifted floral and citrus aromas are followed by delicate lemon and lime flavours on the palate. A hint of minerality, this wine has rich, concentrated fruit and is finished by crisp, refreshing acid.
Enjoy now or be rewarded by cellaring for up to 10 years to enjoy an aged Riesling.

"Brilliant very pale straw almost water like colour with watery hue. The nose displays distinct lemon and lime top notes followed by some orange rind and a hint of talc. The palate follows on from the nose demonstrating excellent concentration for its price point. Mouthfilling flavours of lemon and lime followed by a touch of orange rind and mineral. Clean crisp acid finish with long lime, lemon and mineral aftertaste. Drink over the next 2-3 years. (2011-2014)."

2010 Barking Mad Sauvignon Blanc

Sourced from vineyards in the Adelaide Hills, this classic cool climate wine is fresh and fragrant.
With flavours of gooseberries and ripe tropical fruits, this wine is best served slightly chilled.

2010 Barking Mad Rosé

Fresh and fruity - our Barking Mad Rosé is a perfect summer time wine!
Using a blend of Grenache and Sangiovese fruit from our St Clare Vineyard, the juice was extracted using 50% free juice run only resulting in a light delicate wine.
It has uplifting summer berry flavours which are enhanced by sweet spices and has a refreshing dry finish.

2009 Barking Mad Cabernet Sauvignon

The latest addition to the new Barking Mad pups!
Sourced from low yeilding, partially irrigated vines in our St Clare Vineyard, the wine was open fermented before maturing in French Oak Hogsheads for 18 months.
It displays rich aromas of blackcurrant and cherry with a palate of juicy dark fruits and a hint of vanilla followed by mint and dark chocolate. Velvety mouth feel is followed by generous tannins leaving a lingering mouth feel.

2008 Barking Mad Shiraz

Our Barking Mad Shiraz is rich and full bodied!
Sourced from our St Clare Vineyard, this wine has been open fermented before maturing in a combination of American and French Hogsheads for 12 months.
On the palate it displays supple sweet fruit with excellent depth and persistant flavour. It shows flavours of ripe red berries with spice and cigar box and a hint of spicy oak.

"Opaque black dark crimson red colour with very deep dark red hue. The nose displays excellent intensity with lifted notes of very ripe blackberry, dark raspberry, liquorice and confectionary. Full bodied with an opulent ripe joosy flavour profile of blackberry, liquorice and spice followed by some toasty oak characters on the back palate. Soft velvet like tannin structure with aftertaste of ripe blackberry, liquorice, spice and toast.
Drink over the next 2-3 years (2010-2013)."
